Privacy Policy

Altixia ID (id.altixia.com) is the single sign-on (SSO) service operated by Altixia LLC. It lets authorized users sign in to all of Altixia's tools with a single account. This policy describes the personal data processed by this service, the purposes of that processing and your rights.

1. Data controller

2. Data processed

• Account data: email address, first and last name, username, unique account identifier, preferred language and, if you add one, phone number.
• Authentication data: password (stored only in hashed form) and the methods you set up for two-factor authentication or passwordless sign-in (authenticator app, security key, passkey).
• Sign-in through a third-party provider: the identifier of your account with that provider (see section 4).
• Technical and security data: IP address, browser type, date and time of requests, and the history of security events on your account (sign-ins, failed attempts, password changes, changes to authentication methods).
• Audience measurement data (see section 5).

3. Purposes and legal bases

• Creating and managing your account, authenticating you, giving you access to the Altixia services you are authorized to use, and sending you the e-mails the service requires (account activation, email address verification, password reset, notice of a password change): this processing is necessary to provide the service under the terms of service (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).
• Securing access, preventing fraudulent access and investigating security incidents: Altixia's legitimate interest in protecting accounts and services (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
• Audience measurement: your consent when you connect from the European Union, the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR; see section 5).

This data is never used for advertising.

4. Sign-in through third-party providers

When you choose to sign in with Google, Apple, Microsoft or GitHub, Altixia ID requests from that provider only your basic profile, the data required for authentication: identifier, email address and name. Altixia does not access the content of your accounts with these providers, which process your data under their own terms and privacy policies.

5. Audience measurement and cookies

We measure traffic on altixia.com and its services, including Altixia ID, with Google Analytics 4 through Cloudflare Zaraz: the data is sent to Google from Cloudflare's servers, never directly from your browser. We collect pages viewed, country, device type and where visits come from; your IP address is used to locate the visit (country, city) and is not stored by Google Analytics 4; URL parameters are removed before sending. A single cookie, shared by all our subdomains, recognizes a visitor from one service to another. Cloudflare Web Analytics also measures page views and loading times, without cookies. No advertising, no ad profiling.

If you connect from the European Union, the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, measurement only starts with your consent, given in the window shown on your first visit; you can change it at any time with the Cookie settings link, also at the bottom of this page. Elsewhere, measurement is on by default, including if you had declined it from Europe. Consent recorded automatically outside Europe is erased as soon as you connect from Europe, and the window is shown again.

Apart from audience measurement, Altixia ID only uses the cookies and browser storage strictly necessary for the service: a browser identifier used to manage your sign-in sessions (one year), a protection against forged requests (12 hours), your language choice (one year), the record of your consent choice (one year) and, on the home page, a note that you have already signed in from this browser, with the sign-in name to suggest, without any password or token. Cloudflare, which protects the service, may also set security cookies. No advertising cookies.

6. Recipients and processors

Data is never sold, rented or transmitted to third parties for commercial purposes. It is shared only with the Altixia services you use, strictly to the extent necessary for authentication, and with the providers that process it on Altixia's behalf:

• Cloudflare, Inc. (San Francisco, USA): delivery and protection of the network traffic of id.altixia.com, and audience measurement (Cloudflare Zaraz, Cloudflare Web Analytics);
• Google (Google Analytics 4): audience measurement, as described in section 5;
• the provider hosting the servers on which Altixia ID runs.

7. Transfers outside the European Union

Altixia LLC is established in the United States. Altixia ID and the providers listed above process data outside the European Union and the European Economic Area, in particular in the United States.

8. Retention

• Account data is kept for as long as the account is active.
• The history of security events on your account is kept with the account, to protect it and to investigate incidents.
• The service's technical access logs are deleted after 30 days; other sign-in logs are kept for a limited period for security purposes, then deleted.

9. Security

Connections to Altixia ID are encrypted (HTTPS). Passwords are stored only in hashed form and must have at least 8 characters, including an uppercase letter, a lowercase letter, a digit and a symbol. Every account can use two-factor authentication (authenticator app or security key) and passwordless sign-in with a passkey. After 10 failed password attempts, or 10 incorrect two-factor codes, the account is locked.

10. Your rights

In accordance with the GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify and erase your data, to restrict or object to its processing, to data portability, and to withdraw your consent at any time. You can update your profile, your password and your authentication methods yourself from My account. To exercise your rights, contact us through the contact section of altixia.com or on WhatsApp at +1 307 310 5297. You may also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, in particular in the country where you live or work.

11. Children

Altixia ID is a professional service intended for Altixia's clients and team members; it is not directed at children.
